“Ready, set, jump!” exclaimed the bathing-suit-clad parents, standing in the shallow end of Woodland’s Grace Hiddleson Municipal Pool, as they lifted their babies up from the poolside and into the crystal-clear, 3-foot-deep water. Babies as young as 6 months old are learning how to swim through programs offered by the city of Woodland Parks and Recreation Department.
